Kris is at a 'much better place' with James

The TV host-actress was all smiles and chuckles while relating to birthday celebrant and best friend Boy Abunda the “ice breaker” that took place last Oct. 22, the day of the wedding of actress Jenny Miller and businessman Cupid Feril, where she served as a godmother---a “blessing” as she deemed it. And coincidentally, actress Isabel Oli, with whom James is being linked, had something to do with it. “I saw her and I went up to her after communion. I said ‘hi, I’m Kris. (gesturing handshake) I know you’re Isabel. Finally at least you’ve met me.’ Then she said, ‘Opo.’ ‘Yun na ‘yon,” she recalled. This, she told James that night---when he happened to visit their son Baby James. From being “civil” (as Kris said in a previous interview), she and James are “at a much better place now”---so much so that they can tease each other. Willing Willie show starts in TV5

Despite controversies and a staggering P486 million damage suit filed by ABS-CBN, “Willing Willie” premiered Saturday, October 23, as TV5’s flagship primetime variety program. “Tama na ang bad news. Dapat iba na, saya at pag-asa na!,” Willie said. The opening number was a melting pot of artists dancing to a resounding beat, a “Mardi Gras” complete with colorful attires and alluring women. Willing Willie Girls (WW.Girls) warmed up the stage before Revillame’s grand entrance on stage. Revillame thanked all his loyal followers and staff for standing by his side despite the controversies that surrounded his exit from ABS-CBN. Teary-eyed, he also took time to thank ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez and president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio for giving him the chance to serve the Kapamilya network for five and a half years.
