STARS of the ABS-CBN series “Imortal” told Inquirer Entertainment that their show is no “Twilight” clone. “Some would say that we drew inspiration from ‘Twilight,’ but we tried to make our show as original as possible. Our attack is very Pinoy,” said Angel Locsin, who portrays a werewolf in the series. Her co-star, John Lloyd Cruz, who plays a vampire, agreed: “Comparisons with ‘Twilight’ cannot be avoided, considering how popular the novels and movies are globally. But our approach and execution are different.” But what makes “Imortal” so Pinoy? “The way we portrayed the characters. The heart is Pinoy.
