Kris Aquino and Herbert Bautista together (again)

Yes! They are together again – for a movie :) the working title is Saving Forever For You. Previously, Kris and Quezon City Mayor, Herbert, had a short but a very highly controversial relationship. In her blog titled “The State of My Heart”, Kris gave details of her relationship with Herbert: Feb. 11, 2014 when Herbert asked for her number Two months later in April, he proposed marriage to her. She recalled how Herbert proposed to her over a merienda, saying that he was tired of running and wanted to feel secure with someone he could grow old with. Kris accepted the proposal. The following days they went together to a Catholic mass and Herbert had his first meeting with her family. But then…she realized Herbert never said he loved her. April 7, 2014 when Kris confirmed at Aquino & Abunda Tonight of her relationship with Herbert “The next day, over the phone he broke up with me, right before Bimb’s (her son) 7th birthday party”- said Kris There was no specific reason for the separation but according to a report Herbert’s children with ex-partner Tates Gana were negatively affected by news on the relationship She cut her hair short. She wanted to forget how she must have looked with her hair all over her face and pillow when Herbert used to surprise her by waking her up in the morning and bringing her venti nonfat latte no foam She also traveled a lot after the breakup – Hong Kong, New York, Boracay and Tokyo, among others Kris recalled the last time she cried for him was Christmas Eve Whew! It was a very long detail of a very short relationship. I hope Kris’s heart is in good condition now because she is ready to make a movie with her ex-boyfriend (almost husband). I’m expecting this will be a rom-com (romantic comedy) movie - maybe with a happy ending – because Kris said she’s doing this movie to answer the “what if” of their relationship. One of Philippines’ veteran actors, Mark Gil (Raphael Joseph De Mesa Eigenmann in real life), died of liver cirrhosis today (September 1, 2014) at the age of 52. His children are also popular actors in the country: Andi Eigenmann, Sid Lucero and Gabby Eigenmann. (pix from inquirer.net)

Nora Aunor is a smoker

The Philippines' superstar, Nora Aunor, has recently been criticized by a priest and medical practitioners over her cover picture on YES! magazine where she's holding a cigarette. She said there's nothing wrong if she is a smoker. Joan Maglipon, editor in chief of YES!, said that the picture is a representation of Nora's current image - an icon. According to the critics, Nora should be a role model to all since she's in the entertainment business. I think, maybe this issue was made a big deal due to the recently launched smoke-free campaign by Metro Manila Development Authority in the whole metro area. I'm not a smoker but I'm just wondering if criticisms are also being thrown to the country's ex-President and current President who are known as smokers too.
