Pokwang a new host of Happy Yipee Yehey!
Pokwang is said to be the latest addition to the hosts of Happy Yipee Yehey, which will be announced by ABS-CBN this weekend (April 30, 2011). I think a noontime show would need Pokwang to make its rating to a higher level. She just reconciled with Eat Bulaga's Joey de Leon (a noontime show of another network, GMA-7) after 3 years of rift on 'aswang' issue. Now it's not Pokwang versus Joey de Leon but rather Happy Yipee Yehey versus Eat Bulaga (in a friendly competition, of course!). Go Powkie!

AJ Perez & Rico Yan (coincidence or fate?)
AJ Perez, a Philippine actor who recently died on a road mishap, was a fan of another actor, Rico Yan, who also died at a young age. Coincidence or fate? Both actors were members of Star Magic of ABS-CBN network. Both studied at De La Salle University. They both have used the character name of 'Miguel' (Rico as Miguel in Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita and AJ as Miguel in BFF Best Friends Forever). Both have one Maalaala Mo Kaya episode (AJ's episode will be shown on April 30, 2011). They are both buried at the Manila Memorial Park, Paranaque City. Now, are these coincidences or fate?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are looking for a nanny to take care of their six children. They are willing to pay up to USD150,000 per year (around P6.6 million in one year or P550 thousand a month!). The qualifications? She can be trusted by the whole family, she knows how to respect the family's privacy, a degree in education or child development and must speak at least two languages (including the native language of the child). The famous couple have three biological children (Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne) and three adopted children (Maddox from Vietnam, Zahara from Namibia and Pax from China).

Manny Pacquiao to release a song in USA
The Filipino pound for pound king, Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao, will release a new song on April 28, 2011, in the United States. He recorded the song, Sometimes When We Touch, with its creator, Dan Hill. The song was a hit in 1978 and since became one of Filipino favorites in karaoke sessions. Manny is scheduled to return to Jimmy Kimmel for the promotion of the song.

Kapuso, Kapamilya And Kapatid Networks Cover The Royal Wedding Of William And Kate
ABS-CBN, in cooperation with BBC, will cover the Royal Wedding live on April 29, 2011. A documentary on William and Kate will be shown on April 24 at the Kapamilya network before ASAP Rocks. On the wedding day, April 29, ABS-CBN will have a full coverage of the wedding in all of its multimedia platforms (ANC, Studio 23, DZMM, Channel 2).
TV5 will also cover the Royal Wedding, “Ang Kasalang Royal” on April 29 in cooperation with Independent Television Network (ITN), the official royal wedding channel in the United Kingdom. The event will be aired in all of TV5’s multimedia platforms, including Aksyon TV Channel 41, Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM and will be available on its portal InterAksyon.com.
GMA Kapuso network is giving a guaranteed all-access pass to the viewers on April 29 of the Royal Wedding in partnership with BBC via Reuters. A documentary of Kate and William: Inside the Royal Wedding will be aired on April 24.

It was the night of the annual Don’t Walk charity fashion show, March 27, 2002, when the moment of realization suddenly hit William. As Kate shimmied down the catwalk at the five-star St. Andrew’s Bay Hotel, William turned to Fergus and whispered, “Wow, Fergus, Kate’s hot!”
At a party after the show William decided to make his move. ..Wiliam and Kate were huddled in a quiet corner, deep in conversation…William leaned to kiss her. It was Kate who pulled away.
William and Kate had fallen in love and were enjoying a conventional university romance. In a bid to keep their relationship below the radar for as long as possible, they would leave the house at different times and arrive at dinner parties separately, and made a pact never to hold hands in public.
The shot of William gazing lovingly at Kate that was published in the Sun newspaper on April 1, 2004, was no April Fool’s joke. William and Kate were definitely more than just friends.
Suddenly the floodgates opened and the world wanted to know everything about this shy, pretty and unassuming girl.
According to one of her friends at St. Andrews, “She never got above her station, and even though she had secured the most sought-after boy at St. Andrews, she never gloated. She was quite insecure about her looks and never considered herself pretty, she was very sweet and very shy.”

Ogie & Regine's ukay-ukay at World Trade Center
The singer and comedian, Ogie Alcasid, one of the celebrity hosts of ukay-ukay at the World Trade Center, was overwhelmed by the massive support of the fans who waited for the opening of the bazaar at 11am on April 15. The fans were at the venue since 7am. Ogie said that his wife, Regine Velasquez, wasn't able to attend the bazaar because she needs to rest. The singer even joked that he will take off and sell his shoes for the event. The bazaar will run until April 17 and funds raised in the celebrity ukay-ukay will be donated to Kapuso Foundation.

Pilar Pilapil stabbed in Antipolo
Pilar Pilapil, 1967 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe, is now out of danger and recovering at The Medical City in Pasig City after she was stabbed by suspected carjackers in Antipolo. Pilar, 60, was cruising along Marikina Riverbanks on Thursday night with a companion when they were stopped by motorcycle-riding armed men. Pilar was stabbed and thrown out of their Kia car to a vacant lot in Antipolo. She was lucky enough that residents in the area found her and rushed to a nearby hospital. No Willing Willie show starting April 11
Last April 8, Willie Revillame, the controversial host of Willing Willie show of TV5, said that he will be on leave from the show starting April 11 until the Holy Week (Good Friday will fall on April 22, 2011). Willie said that the show was not suspended by Philippine's tv/movie board (MTRCB) and that he will not apologize from anyone. He said that he will take sabbatical to have time to think if he should still go back to the showbiz industry. Willie was accused of "child abuse" by some sectors on Willing Willie's episode where a 6-year old child, Jan-Jan, was doing a "macho dancing". Major sponsors of the show, including Jollibee Foods Corporation and Procter and Gamble, have withdrawn their advertisements following the said controversial episode. P&G also suspends ads on Willing Willie
After Jollibee Mang Inasal, another Willing Willie sponsor has suspended their advertisements on Willie Revillame's show following the "macho dancing" number of Willie's guest on March 12 episode. According to Procter & Gamble, they decided to suspend their ads on the show while it is still under investigation by authorities. MTRCB and other government agencies are still reviewing Willing Willie's episode citing protection of the "macho dancing" child, Jan-Jan. Among the products of P&G are Ariel, Tide, Joy, Downy, Safeguard, Olay, Pampers, Whisper, Pantene, Head & Shoulders and Rejoice. (source:PEP)
